About Me
I believe in traditional naturopathic medicine, with a strong focus on evidence-based practice for the best long-term health outcome for my clients. As a mother to a teenage son, I understand the importance of good health and vitality in order to keep up with the ever-changing pressures of work, family, and lifestyle commitments.
"If his vehicle breaks down, the traveller cannot go far" - B.K.S. Iyengar (2001). We are all travellers, journeying through life - searching, exploring, learning, and enjoying all the great opportunities available to us. However, if our vehicle (body & mind) starts to break down through ill-health and neglect, we will become restricted and our growth impeded.
Throughout our lifespan we are constantly thrown off balance, which tests our strengths, our weaknesses and our resilience. We might not always make the right health choices but it's never too late to start! Using a client-centred approach at health matters nq, we focus on educating children, teenagers and adults to improve their health by changing or challenging unhelpful habits or behaviours. We aim to provide ongoing care, support, and advice during this process.
I have experience with a broad range of health conditions including gut health, food allergies/intolerances, hormonal imbalances, fertility support, thyroid dysfunction, autoimmune conditions, muscular pain, inflammation, and other acute and chronic health conditions. I believe in an integrative health approach to achieve the best outcomes for clients, and will refer to other health professionals should the need arise.
